I took vacation this week and am cleaning out my basement the next couple of days. I'm going to be getting rid of lots of stuff. Whatever I think is useful to someone I'm gonna post in the swap and sell. Things will range from S/T extras to computer stuff to unused pipe insulation. My wife and I cleaned out the basement in May and this I want to "really" clean it out. Stuff just accumulates down here. It's a catch-all and I can't stand it anymore.

I hear you. Every time I muster the desire to attack mine I get down there and I can't find a place to start so I just leave. Been doing this for 5 years now. LOL

My attic is the "black hole" in my house. none if its my stuff, but its where we put all items that doesnt have a space in the living area.

Oh... what a topic....

I ended up putting in an attic staircase in the garage and using that space for all the empty moving boxes, computer boxes, etc, plus all the car parts. I got up there this weekend and cleaned some of it out to make room for more...

The basement is my disaster zone right now. I had my office and 'play' room down there, plus general storage, but now that I am going to finish it, I've got to do something. I moved everything from one section to another while framing, then moved it back to frame the other area, but I am not doing that again while I start wiring. I'm trying to bring myself to renting a storage facility while I finish it, but for one large enough to put all the stuff in the basement and the Explorer for the winter - one large enough is running an average of $185 a month. It will be next spring/summer before I finish the basement, and I really don't want to pay that much for that long.

I never knew you had to have so much stuff to decorate for the holidays. Between the Christmas stuff, Thanksgiving stuff, Halloween, etc - there is over 800 sq ft of decorations all in boxes and containers stacked up. And I don't even want to talk about the boxed up clothes my wife has "for each season"....
