DUUHHHHHHHHH!!!! well at least i know for the next time.

i guess coastie isnt around today. really would like to

identify this setup as i have never seen anything like it before

he is even having trouble finding the 6 lug on 5.5" x 14" wheels

I am here, had a VERY EARLY start that just did not seem to end.

I did see the post on my PDA, but,,, was in the Doctors office at the time...

Ok, in my opinion, we are looking at 1957 to 1962ish suspension off a regular 1/2 ton Chevrolet truck.

One thing you can do to isolate it out a bit is to pull the race and get the stamped part number off of it. Then go to any parts store and they can cross reference the number to ensure the year and in some cases the application.

You will find that if I am correct, then rims from all of the 4WD Chevy's that had 6-Lug suspension will fit right on. If so, then the suspension is from the range listed above...

There is a GREAT chance that newer hubs will fit, possibly up to 1972.

You may be better off buying some trailer axles for it by the time you hunt down wheels or any repair parts for it.

Just a suggestion.

Coastie

thank you i believe you are right and will look in to the later hubs

if necessary.

Caymen

your idea is noted but this thing is so well made that i would hate like hell

to start cutting and welding if it isnt necessary.

thanks again
