Not sure. It's not listed on the code list over in the FAQ section. Maybe somebody else may have a more complete list that lists it.

 
If it is a GM car, it is the In-Car air temperature sensor. If it is not a GM car, it is a Generic code of Battery voltage high.



The P code is Powertrain. The B code is Body. There is also a C code for the Chassis and the U code which is Network.

To add to your answer, if it were P1317, there would be two possible problems.



If it were a BMW it would be "B Camshaft Position Plausibility" (Whatever that means)



and



If it were a Land Rover it would be "ABS Rough Road Line Low Fault".

In the 2001 Ford PC/ED manual there is no P1317. It goes from P1309 to P1380.
