I have a question for the computer experts. Out of curiosity, can you connect to the Internet using a cell phone? I have a Motorola Razr and a Compaq Presario, both with Bluetooth. I use DSL at home and at work, with my laptop going wireless at home. I'm curious more than anything.

Yes you can... IT is painfully slow from what I remember but yes you can.. Just requires a special phone..

I watched Sal A. check out all the forum posts from his cell when we were in Louisville. He can tell you what he has better than I.

Yes you can. You need to buy the motorola phone tools. It comes with a cable that attaches from your laptop to your phone. The only negative is that they charge a 'data' rate over and above your minutes when you do this and it is a slow connections. You other option is that you pay a fee for a highspeed connection similiar to an aircard. You get so many MB's for so many $ each month. This works through the same cord and phone tools software. The advantage to this over a aircard is that you don't have to purchase the aircard.

Thanks, Todd Z, Gary D and Olaf W for the info. I'm going to do anything different than I am doing now, it just ran through my head so I thought I'd ask out of curiousity.

My phone is EVDO A highspeed internet for phones.

It can be hooked bluetooth or via cable to a computer.

there is a data rate if you are not already paying for it.
