Coolant question

I'm in need of a coolant change, but I'm confused as to which coolant to use.



The owners manual and shop manual I have both reference the Green type of fluid, but also say that you should stick with the type of fluid in your vehicle- which seems to be the Gold type.



Which should I use to refill the system?

I would use what the owners manual says..odd that your '01 has the gold in it..I was under the thought that '04 and '05 had the gold..I have an '04 with the gold..

Did you buy it used ? Maybe someone serviced it wrong..

That is simple. If it has gold from the factory, use the gold. If it came with the green coolant, then go with the green.

Bought it new, so they must have just been out of the Green coolant that day.:huh:



Anyway, I thought sticking with the Gold was probably the way to go. Thanks for the confirmation.

My '03 has gold coolant. The manual says so too.

They make Universal coolant. All makes, all model, all colors! They have the characteristics of them all in it. I manage a part store and sale the h$ll out of it!!!
