Aloha, the dealer says that my 2002 Track takes green or gold coolant. How can I know which is correct. It looks black to me.

If it has green in it put green in it and vice versa. If you want to flush it all out then pick one. Personally I think Fords gold coolant is about the best out there.

Ed- If gold, the Ford approved Zerex G-05 is available from NAPA in Hilo.

Actually Ford started chanigng the type of coolant they used in 2002. Some vehicles used the green coolant and some used the gold coolant. Either one will work but don't mix the 2

I just use the plain ol' green Prestone that says it's good for anything.
