I noticed that all along the copper wires from the battery, no matter how much insulation is removed, there is green corrosion. Could this be a problem?

I would say it is not good. Corrosion in and on wires increases resistance and decreases conductivity. They are easy, and inexpensive, to replace.

Can be if its causing loss of current, stray current or high resistance.... also please use real battery terminals if you replace or a real sold cable. Those led cable ends suck... people think they are on right and cause all sorts of electrical problems. I found a way to make them work dam good.
