Yesterday, on the way home from work I noticed in the rear view mirror water droplets on and around the rear window and window molding. We had some serious rains here yesterday (Balto/Wash area) so I assumed it was on the "outside" of the widow. Moments later I heard very loud noises (crackling and static) coming from the rear seat area. When I stopped to investigate I discovered that the drivers side rear seat area was coated with water to the point that the plastic indent area behind the seat and on top of the speaker grill was full of water. The noise I was hearing was coming from the speaker itself. The crackling and static continued for the next 10-15 minutes. The noise continued even after I turned off the radio, and what really freaked me out, it continued after I turned off the igition and removed the key. Now, either the cabin area is leaking or I didn't have the rear window fully closed. That seems to be the only two conclusions. The noise I was hearing could have possibly resulted from the speaker getting wet. Why it continued to make that obnoxious noise even after the car was turned off still intrigues me. This morning driving into work and this afternoon returning from work everything seemed normal. Since the vehicle is a new 2010 (purchased it in August) and is still under warranty I don't have any real worries. However, I was interested in asking if any of you experienced any leaking in the driver's side rear seat cabin area? And, anybody have any thoughts about the noisey speaker? Thanks in advance. Jim

The brake light on the roof is a notorious leaker, its most likely the culprit. I have an 08 Adrenenlin and had the same issue. Its covered under warrenty, the dealer will replace the light for you as the seal and light are one piece.

I'll second the comments about the 3rd brakelight housing - this part caused the same type of leakage as you described in my old 2008 model. So far my 2010 has not had this problem, fingers crossed. You have no worries, you're under warranty...

About the speaker; electrical systems will stay on for about 5 min. after turning off the key or until you open the door; whichever comes first.
