Guys, just going off the rails a bit. Any ideas about Nitrous in our tracs?

Just saw a 1967 Barracuda with the tell tell nitrous piping coming out from under the trunk, little light bulb popped in my head.

If high milage not advisable. Also you need to run a compresion check. Dont want any crankcase blowby either.

If you do, use a wet system. ZEX makes a good complete system.

jerrya,

Not a question of mileage, but more to do with the health and condition of the engine. Most healthy engines can take a 50HP shot of Nitrous, but I would not push it beyond that unless it was a new or newly rebuilt engine by a competent engine builder. Also, remember that when you increase the oxygen input you have to provide more fuel. That often means a fuel pump that can deliver more fuel and fuel injectors that can deliver that fuel. You may get by without changing the injector and fuel pump if the CPU program can be tuned (Injector Timing) to deliver the necessary fuel required.
