Crazy thought

Just a crazy thought. What would happen if you were to put a small panel in the air box that was angled up from the opening to the filter to help direct the flow? It would be sealed in place to keep it from blocking off the filter.

Wouldn't do crap. The air isn't pushed into the box. It's sucked from the intake.

Basically, the engine in the Trac, by way of the pistons, creates a low pressure area, thus, air WANTS to get into the intake.



If you had functionally hood scoops or turbos the theory would be different as it would be compressed air. In the case of the Trac, it is nothing more than stagnant or ambient air...
