Curt Mfg. Hitch Receiver Installed this afternoon, Yeah

Here's a pic of the installed hitch receiver from Curt Mfg. The mounting bracket had to be loosened to drop down below the WAAG Bumper Guard. My son (who deserves the credit) finished the install in about 20 min.

Looks really nice. My brother is going to be getting a Curt hitch for his '99 Explorer. It was the only manufacturer that says theres will allow him to install a larger tire in the spare tire location.



He is running stock 2001 Trac 16" wheels with 255/70-16 tires.

Just kidding, it looks fantastic . Did you need to paint or it came that way? It matches very nicely.

It came powder coated & I got the matching ball mount. There are a variety of colors to choose from. They do not sell directly, so you have to find a local dealer. FYI, it was a little pricy at $260, but I think that it will be worth it in the long run to have it powder coated. Here's the link:
