Looks like the same location as last time!

I'll be there. Eating is a required activity for any kind of meet, IMO. :D

There are so many restaurants in that area, it shouldn't be a problem to find a place.

How far is Grapevine from Waco? I'll be in Waco that Saturday morning in Ghosty...My buddy and I have a vehicle in the Baylor U Homecoming parade that morning. We might be able to swing by Grapevine afterwards and show yall a WORKING '07 ST named Ghosty!

BT- Waco is around an Hour out of DFW area, if I remember correctly.

Eric- Yah, we'll pobably eat or the ones that do, can.

Joey- See yah there! and thanks for the long commute again!

Everyone please let me know, we want more than the original 3 ST's from last time :D.

I would like to go but can't swing it. 6 hour drive and we are having in service training these next two months.:( _Ron

C'mon folks, where are all the ST'ers who always say they'd be interested in a local meet?

Hey Lil' Red! I want to see that new 07 in person. :D

For anyone interested in coming, but not familiar with the area, here's a map of the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex with a Red Star pinpointing the Meet location (actually, not the entire metroplex. Ft. Worth is just off the page to the bottom left, and Dallas is just off the page to the bottom right).

I've got two more maps (each zooming in with more detail) that I'll post through the week - just to keep this topic near the top of the board. :D

BT,

Waco is about 100 miles south of Dallas, and Grapevine is just a little north of the DFW airport. You will probably find it easier to take I-35 N to Hillsboro to the split, then take I-35 W towards Ft. Worth. Then take 183 and 121 to the northside of the airport and you will see the Grapevine exits.

Unfortunately, I am in Oregon and will not be able to attend.

Hey EricP, just saw your post above...... I'll clean up the Trac and come over and hang out for a while. My wife and I just had a new addition to our family so I'vew been hanging around the house but i'll try to make this one. I'll try not to blind you guys with all the Chrome....:D

Hey-- Isn't there a Bass Pro store near there? I stay at a hotel across the street about once a year for required training. There is a GREAT BBQ restaurant across the street on the corner.

Dang. Wish I could go. It is about 500 miles from here in Missouri.

Gavin,

Yes, There is a Bass Pro Shop across the steet. The hotel, I think is a "Heritage Inn" and the BBQ place is Leggot's (I think). We actually had a meet at the Hotel a few years ago and I think Leggot's gave us a big discount on all the BBQ brisket with all the fixings and it was still over $200 for the food alone. Enough food for a small Army.:D

Here's another map of the Meet location. Like the map I posted earlier, the Red star marks the spot! This map is zoomed in closer than the first one. The mall is represented by the shaded area at the top of the star.

I'll post one more with a closer view on Friday - just to keep this thread floating near the top. :)

Hey Rich:

I remember the hotel I stay at is a Hilton (see link below). It is a pretty decent place.

I don't remember the name of the BBQ place across the street-- Leggot's doesn't ring a bell. It was pretty good BBQ, however!

I think that might be it. They had really fresh rolls that were worth going for on their own.

We don't have good barbeque where I live. I have to drive 100 miles or more to get the good stuff.

Now I am hungry!

Yep, Eric is correct. It is a Coulter's BBQ not Leggots BBQ. And you are probably right about the hotel being a Hilton.

I had Heritage on my mind because I was looking for a resturant here in Oregon that was located on Heritage Way which is in a shopping mall called the Heritage Mall. I could not locate it on any of the internet mapping sites on my GPS. ...go figure.
