Hello, I have been doing some research on putting fog lights in my ST and I came across a bezel on ebay that I thought would work for what I want but when I took a closer look at it I realized that it has a extra opening on the right side. what goes in that extra opening? I know that the top is the rear window and one of the openings is for the fog lights but what is the third opening for? This has been driving me nuts because I can't figure it out.

Thanks

I think thats one from an older Explorer if I am correct. I think it had a switch for fog lights and the rear defrost was below if I recall. You can get the button/switch and put it in its place if you want to just hid the hole. The bezel will fit you ST no problem.

Yep, that's from an older Explorer and it has two holes for the rear defrost and fog lights. Alot of members switch out the bezels for thse so they can have two switches for two seperate fog light connections while retaining the factory look.

:banana::supercool:

It looks like it might have less butchering for a double din radio as well :cry: I messed mine up pretty good with my DDin install :fire:

We have some PIAA lights (2 sets) and driving lights on the truck and didn't want the switches to look "after market" when we installed them so when we put the new stereo in, we bought factory switches from Ford and put those in the extra spots on the bezel. One of the switches is for the driving lights, the other is for one set of the PIAA's. At least it will be if the hubby ever finishes hooking them up. The bezel is from an older explorer.

I use my additional fog light switch to power a rear fog light like European vehicle have. It's the red one. The white one is a backup light.

its not really from an older explorer. the older explorers dont have the titanium color dash bezel.

this kind of bezel came from a 2001-2002 ford explorer sport 4x4 . the top left hole is for the 4x4, below that is the cigarette lighter. the top right is for the rear window wipers. below it is the rear defrost, and the bottom one on the right is for the fogs.
