dash warning light

The past few days I have noticed that a warning light has been coming on more often. The light is a red battery. I was just wondering what it means. I have had the battery less than a year so it shouldn't be bad. It has been pretty cold in the morning so I am wondering if the battery is just frozen.

check your battery cables and connections, grounds. If good, then your alternator is on its way out...

But it could be, a load test might be worthwhile.

Also Use a digital vom on the battery..See what the voltage level is. With motor running and all accesories turned on. Lights, AC, radio, etc.

If the load test on the battery prooves, good battery. It should stay @ 13.5/14.5.

If not the altenator is going out.

Alternator is on its last legs...
