Dead Front Driver Side Window

My front left window is DEAD. Or at least half dead. It rolls down perfect, but when I try to bring it back up, it won't. HELP.





I have limo tint if it makes a difference in anything.

Scott,

If the window goes down, the motor is fine, so that typically leaves a bad switch or a bad wire or connection. The only way to find out is to take the door panel off and start testing the wires and switich with a multimeter. It could be something as simple as a connector not being seated tight or perhaps some corrosion on the terminals.

My big bronco did this a few times its was from to much playing with the bottons they get hot and the spring that holds the brush on the com. go's bad. I just put new springs in. Good luck. Bill

Try pushing on the switch lightly , Not all the way down, see if it goes up, IF so you have a bad switch..



Also try it with the door open and closed, Could be a bad wire..
