Absolutely. Many ceremonies going on, here on Oahu, to honor those 68 years ago.

Interesting fact. The first aerial attack occured at Kaneohe Naval Air Station, seven minutes BEFORE Pearl Harbor.

20 casualties, two civilian. Known as Marine Corps Base Hawaii, (MCBH) today.

Five minutes from my residence, there is still evidence of the attack, with numerous bullet holes in the hangars.

I didn't forget. Our Legion Post is holding a remembrance ceremony tonight.

Rest In Peace, Shipmates.

Never forgotten, always thankful for the servicemen and women that serve our country.

I recently flew back from San Diego to Kansas City on Southwest airlines. There were two young marines flying with us that day. They got a standing ovation when they boarded in San Diego, and another on the plane when we got to the gate in Kansas City. That showing of deep respect just gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling inside!! :D

I did not forget Pearl Harbor, but I did not notice that today was December 7th until I turned on the TV and the History Channel was broadcasting a documentary about the attack.

I have been to Pearl Harbor twice. Once in 1963 I was on a troop carrier heading to Okinawa and we stopped overnight at Pearl harbor. We docked right accross from the Arizona Memorial.

I went back again this past August. Went to the Arizona Memorial and got some great photos of the "Black Tears" (oil still seeping up to the surface). I also went to the Battleship USS Missouri where the Japanese signed the Surrender documents. It's very inspiring that both monuments be located there, where the war started and where it ended.

...Rich

Rich- The "Mighty Mo" is currently in "drydock", all 887 feet of her.

Maintenance and repairs on BB-63 is a 3 month project at a cost of 18 million dollars.

Actually got to see them loading it. Unbelievable. If that doesn't give you "goosebumps", nothing will. Very, very proud.

Hell no I didn't forget. I've got my flag out today. God Bless our Service Men and Women, past and present.

I remember Pearl Harbor....heros one and all....I was only 6 in '41....but I remember..

I did, at least until I got into work and saw the flags at half staff. I was kind of pissed I forgot because I didn't put my flag down to half staff before I left.

I didn't forget. I never forget. It's the first thing that popped into my head this morning when I woke up.

I hope that none of us ever forget, just like we will never forget 9/11. IF we ever do start to forget, our country will br in bigger trouble than we have ever seen before. GOD BLESS AMERICA! And Merry Christmas & Happy New Tear to everyone.:)
