Boy I tell ya what, I'd be a rich guy after that. If those was my vehicles I'd be rich enough to buy a house with a driveway and garage so stupid :soap: like that wouldn't happen to me again.

I don't even know how I would have reacted if that was my vehicle. They didn't even attempt to avoid the Explorer. They treated it as if it was no more than an obstacle the same as the snow and ice. This clearly wasn't an accident, it was ignorance and intentional.

Luckily for them, they're government employees and bear no responsibility. They'll be back on the job in no time. An investigation will surely mention the risk the Explorer owner knowingly took by parking on the street and the imperative of the loader being immediately available for "the good and safety of the public." Another union job saved, another tax dollar wasted.

No doubt from the local teamster and machine operators NYC local....LOL.

Why the loader couldn't simply use his bucket for leverage and to inch his way out I'll never know.

Best part of the video is the guy shooting it and his comments...

I'm not sure on this one, but I think in Denver (Colorado?) any damage caused by a snow plow is your responsibility. You cannot sue the city/state for damages - even if their fault.

A snow plow hit a parked car here a few years ago. The city ended up buying the guy a new car.

"No doubt from the local teamster and machine operators NYC local"

so true..... you know that guy couldn't give a crap.

at this time, almost 36 hours after the storm, most roads in brooklyn, queens and the other boro's are still not cleared. when residents called they were told they were told we are not accepting calls.

the long isle railroad is just as piss poor as they just resumed limited service this afternoon with regular service days away. they mis-lead commuters stranded since sunday saying it would resume service shortly. many were left to sleep in cold stations overnight.

in the past, my ex neighbor worked for nyc and when he was called in for emergency work his crew would park the truck and hang in a bar then take a nap in the truck. the deal was that they would clear the street where the restraunt/bar is and drink/eat for free.

typical nyc bullcrap. this city has enough manpower and had advance notice of the storm, but with that crappy dont give a hoot attitude , there is no excuse :fire:
