Drivers Door Handle

Drivers door outside handle doesn't open consistently. Locking mechanisms work fine, key, fob and keypad. But when unlocked it doesn't always open. Seem as though the warmer it gets the more it won't open. Found a plastic connector on ebay, that may fix it. Haven't taken my door panel off as of yet. Do our trucks use a plastic connector between the door latch and the outside handle?

Here's a good tutorial showing the yellow clip. Test different clip positions on the threaded rod before reinstalling door trim panel. Dorman 75473 if broken, save the other two.
