I've noticed this since I bought the trac a couple years ago and getting tired of cold feet in winter. I'll turn the heat on, I've been on both side of the truck and the driverside floor vent barely blows heat out. I've noticed there's a nice draft fromt eh bottoms of the doors as well, any thoughts on how to fix these issues. Anyone else have this problem? Even when I put the controls on full floor it'll come out of the defrost and floor but not any harder form the floor than normal. Thanks in advance.

Move South...........

Sorry Jerry, I'm in a smarta** mood today!

If you select "FLOOR" and you still get "DEFROST & FLOOR" you probably have a flap not closing off the defroster passage. I'm e-mailing you some info.

Is the seal around your doors in good shape?

We got 6" snow Saturday night/Sunday morning. About half gone now, going to be low 60's this weekend. THATS the kind of snow I like. None of that stuff like was posted in that video link elsewhere here today.:haveabeer:

Weatherstripping around doors looks good. Is there something I can do about the driverside floor vent to get an even flow or something?

Arf Arf ! ! :cheeky:

Actually the seal around the door OPENING would be correct. There IS a small seal (arf-arf) on the bottom of the doors.:smack:

Sit Boo Boo Sit, good boy. :bwahaha: You eating the scooby snacks again Steve?

The bottom doors seal is intact and good condition, the bottom part of the weatherstripping looks abit flattened though, I'll go and build that up with foam inserts. I'll look through all my car parts, I know I have a bunch of weatherstripping just like that form past projects and vehicles.

Oh, ok. I wasn't sure what you were talking about there since we wer talking about the doors weatherstripping. Thanks man.

I geuss it's a flaw Ford never got around to solving then? My Chevy's never had this problem, oh well geuss I'll have to figure out a way to fix it myself.

The blend door adjusts the temperature of the air entering the cabin, not the direction the air takes. Blend door = blend hot and cold air...............:banghead:

They all do that. Wear warmer boots.

Gen 2's have the opposite problem. The vent in the console blows right on your calf and burns it in the winter and gives you frostbite in the summer. I put duct tape over them in the summer.
