droning noise!

2007 ST with v-8...



I get a loud 'droneing sound" when driving ...2000-2500 RPM...seems to vibrate thru the floor, steering wheel, etc.

revving the motor sitting still doesn't do it...



Tranny problem?



Almost sounds like a tuning fork!



HELP.

Droning noise? I thought you were going to ask about marriage! (Just kidding, honey!)



Does the noise happen in all gears and different speeds? Or do you just notice it on the highway in high gear? Knowing this will help determine where the noise is coming from.
