So my 60 dollar 2wd ebay rotors showed up today but they weren't packaged properly. Beaten all to hell, sensor rings dented and skewed, dents and bulges in the edges of the rotors.

Get what ya pay for right fella's?

...sigh.....

Whats my best course of action. Of course I'm going to contact the seller and give them a chance to resolve the problem but then what? I payed via pay pal. I've never had to do a conflict resolution with ebay before.

Who did you buy them from? Just curious. I got my set from rrotors, and they were very well packaged. Sorry to hear your problem, that sucks. Try first contacting the seller first, and if they don't do anything, then go through Paypal. Like Todd said, take pics also. (with the time/date stamp) Even if you don't have a digital camera.;)

The seller wants to file a claim with ups. He was a total dunce in packing them. Styrofoam peanuts and a slice of cardboard in between them just aint gonna cut it with rotors. I'm screwed till he figures out what usps is going to do.

Gonna hold onto his name until this gets resolved. No sense in slinging mud....yet.

Was it insured? IIRC, UPS insures everything for $100.00, not sure though.

If the seller did not buy insurance, you have no claim with Paypal since the item has been delivered. If you were offered insuurance, but declined it, you are on your own.

Did you pay via paypal on your credit card?

From past experiences of my own and a buddy of mine... When ebay and paypal let you down for protection, your credit card company wont.

A friend of mine had an amp supposedly shipped to him, once he filed the claim with paypal the person had shipped a box containing a broken amp and a sledge hammer head. Paypal denied any resposibility as he had files a non-receipt claim and did receive something -- the incorrect item. He contacted his credit card company, and after almost a month or so they refunded the money to his Credit Card.

Similar thing happened to me as well. Credit Card company refunded money.

Sooooo.... when all else fails, call your credit card company ( if you used it to pay, even if it was through paypal )

I bought drilled and slotted rotors from ebay and I love them, showed up great, work even better.

They werent 60.00 though... i think they were more like 150.00
