I looked in the "Projects" and did not find a step by step process for flushing out the coolant in my 05' Trac. My coolant resevoir has some particulates in it and I'm about to take a long roadtrip, so a flush sounds ideal! Anyone know how to do this?

Thanks for any replys.

Turn the heater on hot. Just disconnect the heater hoses at the firewall and stick the garden hose in each - one is going to the thermostst housing and won't take much pressure, but the other one goes to the block and will allow you to backflush. If you put a prestone backflush T fitting in that line, it will be ready for next time. Make sure the engine is cool / cold - no cold water in a hot block and flush away.

BE aware the house hose can produce over 60PSI !!! the coolant system can only hold about 20 before damage !!!
