engine stumbles

My engine stumbles under a load most often if I go up a hill at about 50mph. I replaced the plug wires and it didn't fix it. The only other thing I know is to check the plugs if thats not it I'm clueless. I did have a P0171 engine code and thought I had fixed the problem by replacing two hoses. The check engine light didn't go out after several days so I disconnected the battery. Maybe this code is connected to the stumble.

what do you mean it stumbles? like loss of RPM forcing an upshift, loss of power alltogether? more info would help.



also what type of S/T you have, gen 1, gen 2, job 1 job 2/?????

How many miles on the plugs? Could be a fuel starvation under load.

I say 30,000 on the plugs. I will check fuel pressure, plugs, and remove the plenum and replace all vacuum hoses this weekend. Anything else?

may as well clean the IAC while you are at it...i use brake cleaner.
