What are the items or things to cover when washing your engine? is there a guide?

I just dump the leftover soapy water on the engine, sponge off the reachable surfaces, and hose it off. If you do this from day one, it simply never gets dirty in the first place. A few years ago I sold a 1991 Lincoln (my dad bought it new, then I had it a few years) with 152,000 miles on it and you could eat off the motor. Clean as new in,out, and under.

arent there computer/electrical parts which needs to be protected?

I've never had a problem. IMO, everything is sealed pretty good.

If you have electrical problems afterward you were goning to have problems the next time it rained my friend. James
