Does anyone know what bigger sized engines will go in a sport trac? Is there a v8 or something that will fit? That can handle a supercharger or turbo?

There is a member here with a supercharger on the 4.0.
Alot of discussion on this, but to my knowledge, no one has attempted an engine change out.

Im sure if you have a lot of money you can fit a 289/302 in with out to much trouble. Mite even force a 351W in and stroke it to 427 would be bad good luck. Bill

A 302 will fit, but not easily, it's far from the drop-in motor people play it up to be. The 5.4 (5.6?) from the prior style F150 will fit as well, but not without new suspension, new firewall, new tranny, new tunnel, etc.

If you could find a wrecked 5.0 Explorer you could probably swap all the parts over. Be a lot of work though.
