Todd Z you mentioned maybe doing a EPC pressure adjustment on the trans. when I do the filter change. How do you do it? I've done a search and nothing comes up. I don't have a tech manual on the ST yet so if I need that we'll have to scrap that idea for now.

Also, what are the tourque specs on the bolts to the pan?;)

Shawn,

The EPC is on the drivers side of the valve body, Furthest toward the back of the truck...

It has a 2 wire connector on it....

Remove the connector, and using a torx bit , i forgot the dam size..:-( , And a 1/4 inch drive ratchet, turn the socket 1/4 turn clockwise, or in the tightening position...

Put the wire connector back on... DONE !!

I don't recommend going any more than that....

That should help you out....

Andy, By increasing the pressure in the transmission you get firmer shifts, Crisper gear changes, Less of a 2-3 flair, Faster park to drive or park to reverse. Thus getting a cooler longer lasting transmission....

The EPC can only do as much as it is adjusted for. The factory setting stinks. Most shift kits come with a resistor that maxes out the EPC all the time.. There are times you do not want high pressure.... Not that many...:)

By turning it the 1/4 turn you pick a happy medium and go from there...

To hook up a Gauge and test the settings, you would have to remove and replace the tranny pan several times, thus being time consuming and costly...

Most of the Performance stuff I have found, all call out to upping the EPC the 1/4 turn... You could go higher, But that is risky....

Where is the epc? inside the tranny itself? or in the engine bay or something? How hard is it to get at, and when i have my tranny fluid changed, could i tell the guy to turn it up 1/4?

Thankjs for the help Todd and everyone,

Andy
