I'm having an issue with my heat control on a 2002 model. It works fine for awhile blowing hot air out and then all of a sudden it is blowing cold air out. Blowing cold more often than hot, what could be causing this? Is it the blower motor resistor, the actuator or what? The fresh air vent flap is working fine and when hot air is coming out it is good hot air, the a/c works fine. It is starting to get cold and I need to get the heat working.

check your coolant level.. the radiator overflow tube on my '02 started to leak and the level went down with the same symptoms... get new hose and seal with clamps...

Sounds like you need to adjust your "Erradic Heater Control"...:bwahaha:

Sorry, I just could not resiste..

As STanner said, it sounds like you might be low on coolant...an indication of a possible leak. If it's not obvious, you might need to get youre cooling system pressure tested.

Ha ha Richard...you vewy funny. As it turned out, it was low by about 2/3 gallon and once filled back up a pinhole size leak in the upper radiator hose was noticed. Will fix tomorrow after the part comes in. Also going to change out the thermostat while I'm at it.
