Exactly How Much Room..?

Ok, so I've decided to buy my moms '01 ST... but I've always been into audio and I want to put a kick ass system in it. I currently have a '86 Ranger Ex Cab on 30x1150 Swamper SX's with a 12" Eclipse Aluminum cone woofer and a 500x1 Memphis amp running at 1.5 ohms.



With my Ranger being a Ext cab.. I didn't have to worry about room at all. But with the ST I want to keep the full bench in the rear (no 40/console/40 conversion) and have ample leg room.



I was wanting to get a 10" JL W6v2 with a 1000M Memphis running it and stuff it behind the rear seat, but after looking behind the seat there doesn't seem to be enough room to fit a 7" deep sub back there. I could use 'glass and get a good look and get as much space as possible, but I don't want to buy anything just yet.



So my question now, how much room exactly is there behind the rear seat with the plastic and carpet removed? And, how hard would it be to move the seat forward maybe an inch or so forward?



Sorry for the winded first post, but after searching far back into 2004 posts I couldn't completely answer my question.

you can go under the seat remove the seat brackets and mount the seat to the box

Without any mods.. and 5/8" rear box construction with a 3/4" baffle to mount the sub on you have 5" for the sub.

Thanks for the replies... I was REALLY wanting to get that sub in there. I might just build a 'glass box and finish it too a single ^3 foot and see what I can get in it and figure out what I can run that way.
