Hi there...

I ordered some 20" Wheels for my 01ST, they are 20", +15mm offset, and 9" wide.

My question is... I have a line on some Falken Ziex ST/Z-04's that are 275/45R-20's

These are the correct size? and what about the width, how come this doesnt matter?

Thanks for the help!

that 20x9 with +15 will stick out a hair more than stock. A 275/45/20 tire is a hair taller than the stock tire too. it will look good.

My rims are 20x8 with 5" backspacing to tuck a little when aired out. Which i believe is a +15mm so a 9" wide rim will have 1" outside more than a stock wheel.

You do have to be concerned about the width of the tire. To narrow and the tire will be forced to stretch to fit the wheel, and exposes the wheel edges more, making them more vunlerable to damage. Too wide and the tire won't even want to go onto the wheel; both can cause strange wear patterns on the tread do to the warping of the tire to fit the wheel.

Chris, I have 20in. wheels with those tires in 265/50R20 111H M+S S/TZ04. I don't know the offset that the dealer used, here's a pic. Gary D. in CT

Very nice ;)

Im assuming the 275/45R-20's will look pretty much the same...

How is your speedo with that size tire... I used some tire calculator thing that said 275/45R-20 was the size to get?

Also, id like to compliment you on your ST it is very nice and clean looking... i love it. Good work!

I really dont see a problem with a 275 tire on a 9" width rim...that only put 1.5" sidewall to each side of rim width..it will help the tread run more even at proper inflation...

Thanks, the tires mounted are the same height as the 16s, so I have no problem with the speedo. BTW, I have a 1/4 in. backing plate on the fronts only. Just to get rid of minor rubbing. Gary
