So I had the heartthrob exhaust installed but the tips were adgitating me pretty bad with how far they stuck out... so I decided to cut them off and put regular pipes on... then I had to get a muffler because PA law requires one so I decided on a thrush welded 2 chambered muffler... sounds good on takeoff and gets quieter on 4th and 5th gears

also on a side note i finally received my Superlift and i will be putting it on this friday/saturday as well as my 35s that have been acting as some pretty sweet redneck end tables for the past 3 months lol... so pics will be soon to come of the post install... also i may consider doing a write up on the superlift install... but im not sure its a popular enough mod to really have any point in doing it

Looks good! :supercool:

My Gibson system came with a bolt on stainless tip but even slid down the pipe it still stuck out too far so I cut a few inches off the tailpipe and put it back on.

Seems to me you could have cut the heart throb tip shorter,,at the rear. Then tacked a ring back in to support the core and packing.

I did this on a Honda 750/4, yrs ago. It had 4 into 2 headers. I wanted the tips shorter.

The glass packing around the core was shot anyway. So I repacked them with SS wool. Never blewout.

I actualy used a sheet metal screw to hold the rear support ring in.

i like it its a thrush welded muffler from advance auto... is has a good tone at lower rpms (2000 and under) and higher rpms (3000 and up) but in between (cruising speeds) its pretty quiet
