Exhuast pipe size after cat on '03

I have a Flowmaster muffler 3"in, dual 2.5" out and I need to know what is the so of the pipe between the cat and the stock muffler. I probably need 2.5 to 3" adapter, right? Going to bend my own pipe for the tailpipes, don't want to cut anything until I know what size adapter I need:unsure:.

I think the OEM is 2.25". My muffler I bought was a 2.25"ID and it bolted right up.
