I posted a link to some 2010 Take Off parts and it was removed from the Explorations forum citing that I needed to pay $20 so they could have my address in case there is an issue on parts - I am pretty sure that a 100% well maintained score with eBay and Pay-Pal that ties into a real dispute system and your bank account is a ton more reliable and predictable than a moderator who has the freedom to block content through extortion. In fact to censor a standard post offends me and my rights to speak as an American.

I am glad this site is more owner friendly I will stay here and enjoy the people at mysporttrac

All you have to do is read the site rules. it clearly states that you can't post for sale threads unless you are an Elite member. You just threw up a for sale thread where ever you wanted and got bent out of shape? It's common forum courtesy to follow the rules. Your 'Rights' are to either follow the rules of a private website or dont use it.

:soap:

i guess you are right - maybe the ST site owners should do the same - charge for exchanging ideas, adding pictures, and selling parts - horray! I dont know that many people that read terms and agreements on forums - again could just be me...

Thats the difference when the owners of a site are in it for the money and want to be paid for every little thing.

EF is a HUGE site, I agree with a lot more cost to run and operate so some things may require a fee. It also stops the guy from selling that $20.00 item.

Here we look at it differently..... Our sponsors pay very little and the owners take the cost of the site. Yes we do take donations and the small things we sell we use the profits for that to run the site. Plain and simple.

This is for Fun, its not our jobs and as a owner/member I feel it should be about the point of the website, Not about putting any money in my pocket. and as a LLC we cant take paychecks and draw money for personal use.... SO all the money we take in is for the website only...

Thanks for the positive thoughts !!!

I was banned from that site because of my a spam on email or something.. I have never had anything like that happen to me before... so I guess I don't have a choice. They have banned me.

I am not happy about it. I liked that site. It had much information. but I will be here now

I'm a member on a couple different forums and on most of them you can't just go on there and post something for sale.

Some of them you can sell things on but after you've made atleast ten or so posts, replies, etc.. Todd is right the EF is HUGE and it takes alot to pay and run that site.

It's kinda like taking your stuff to sell at a neighborhood yadsale and you live on the other side of town and never met anyone from that neighborhood. I know in Pittsburgh when people want to shut down the strret and have a block party or neighborhood sale, etc. they have to pay the city for a permit to do so.

All I'm saying is think and read before you start trash talking a site, Hell from the look of all the recent mods you've done to your ST you have plenty of money to spend $20 for a membership or did you spend it all on the Trac, JMHO.

:smack::smack::eek:nline::boohoo::yawn:

We have the best site of all.:love:

Thanks, Todd and George for keeping it that way.:driving:

Also the simplicity of this site. Feels more down home and personaly connected to our members. JMHO!!:supercool:

You cannot compare this site to EF. No Way No How. This site knows most of the Sport Trac, and only the sport trac. EF knows all about the ST and every other bronco/ranger/explorer based vehicles. You are no where near even being able to compare the two sites. Plus rick usually gives you 2-3 years for 20 bucks. He aint lookin to get rich off it.

But for you to say it offends your right to speak as an american is just insane. And nobody cares about how many accounts you have to sell stuff, or how many trucks you build, or how big your bank account is. If you want to post something on a site that sees 170k people a day you need to pay up. Rules are rules. And get over yourself a supercharger and modified hood does not make you king ding aling.

Sorry if I bursted a bubble, or offended anyone but the common sense card needs to be played every once in awile.

Amen brother!! :haveabeer: Learn to read the rules, you pay to sell on eBay, you pay to sell at a flea market or swap meet, what's the difference. I am on both sites as well as many others and this is one of the extreme few that don't charge a membership fee. There's no fee here but every chance I get I advertise and put the word out for this site and the great sponsors on here and have bought plenty top notch parts from them as well.

I'm a member here, the Sport Trac Moderator there. It wasn't me who pulled your post for linking to an eBay ad, I believe it was. I've been away from the pc for a few days, haven't seen it but was notified of it. Simple my friend, there are rules, here, there, everywhere. Read them, play by them and everybody is happy. The $20 Elite membership gets you more than just ad posting privileges. Again, read and understand. In relation to the for sale privilege, it stops the join-and-make-one-post-to-sell person.( You only have 6 posts there, btw) Hello..... Look at the one-post membership here as see how many of those one-posters were just sellers. It's Todd's choice to allow that here, Ricks choice to not allow that there. They're the bosses, they make the rules. Sorry you broke the rules and got your hand spanked. I have stretched them myself on occasion and have been "corrected" also, and I'm a mod. I'm also sorry you chose to come here and belly-ache about what happened there.:boohoo::sad:

Whether it's here, there or anywhere else if a member has an issue with the forum rules he should contact the Mod of the forum or the Admin of the site. Going on one site to bash another is not the way to handle it.

I contacted EF and asked why I got banned. Apparenty it was an honest mistake. They were quick to my replys and very easy to talk to about it.

They re-instated me. Now I can still enjoy both sites, as before.

:supercool::haveabeer::haveabeer: Brian.

I watched the ST ads SuperCharged SVT put on eBay and there were no bids on any of it. There were some good deals on the parts but no takers.
