Ok, I've had the Razr Maxx for a couple weeks now and enjoying joining the 21st Century for phone technology (I fought the hard fight). I have the apps that I "need." What are your favorite apps?

My favorites so far and the ones I use nearly every day:

Pandora (goes great with Sync in the Edge)

Instagram

Photobucket

Cartoon Camera

ESPN ScoreCenter

Forum Runner

Olive Tree Bible Reader

Drudge Report

Kindle

Super GNES (Super Nintendo)

Flashlight

Weather Channel

I like-

Bar-code scanner

Google Sky Maps

Jog Tracker

Weatherbug

I got my Razr a few months ago and I don't use it anywhere near it's potential. I guess I'm not that tech savvy...

Well, I have an iPhone. Here are a few of my favorite apps. Don't know if they're available for Android, but if so, they're ones that I recommend:

-SoundHound: It'll "listen" to a song for you and tell you the name of the song/artist and

also give you the lyrics

-TuneIn Radio: Lets you listen to radio stations' streams from all over the country/world

-Waze: A pretty good talking/turn-by-turn navigation app

-Fox News

-Reason Magazine's mobile app

-American Thinker's mobile app

-Pulse News: An aggregate that you can customize by selecting your own news & magazine feeds from many different oulets

-Kindle

-Comixology: A comic book reader app if you're into comics

-TapaTalk: A mobile app for accessing online forums, like car forums

-Autoguide: Same as TapaTalk

-Edmunds: Edmunds.com's mobile app

-Inside Line: Edmunds's car news app

-Auto Trader

-Kelly Blue Book

-NADA

-Auto Trader

-eBay Motors

-eBay

-Motor Trend

-Truck Trend

-Car & Driver Buyers Guide

-Auto Blog

-Cars.com

-Popular Mechanics Used Car Guide

-Dynolicious

-Poynt

-Open Table

-PayPal

-Amazon

-Amazon Price Check: Lets you scan an item's barcode in a store and then it finds the item

on Amazon so you can find the best price

-UPS

-FedEx

-USPS Mobile

-GasBuddy: Gas price checker

-Constitution: The entire US Constitution

-ConvertUnits: A great unit conversion app

-RedLaser: A barcode scanning app

-OurGroceries: A grocery list app. Allows multiple users to sync the list on their phones.

-This allows my wife & I to keep track of the same grocery list

-MyFitnessPal: Great app for keeping track of what you eat and how you exercise

-Dog Whistler: I use this app to train/call my dogs

-Angry Birds

I like the app that lets me make and receive telephone calls.....especially when I can turn off the ringer or block calls...

I used to be that way but I am finding that there are some things I've been doing on the computers that I now prefer to do on my phone. Took a while for my wife to convince me to get a new phone but it seems like all of them pretty much require a data plan now and I figured if I was going to have to pay for a data plan, I was going to just get a handheld computer that makes phone calls.

Upgraded from the LG Octane.

Favorite apps on my Android Thunderbolt:

SSLauncher - homescreen app that lets you customize more that your truck!

PowerAmp - Music player

GoSMS - best text app out there

Advanced Pro Widgets - best for facebook and calender, scrollable too

FriendCaster - if your into facebook

Fancy Widgets - best weather app I have found

ZDBox - great set of controls

Glympse - lets you send your location to anyone - they can track your progress for the time you set

Trapster - in case you want to go faster than allowed

Flixster and ImDB - for movies and purchasing tickets

Waze - fun little navigation app

Now, these are my unrooted apps. If your rooted, there are a ton more that you will need!

Turning WiFi and Bluetooth on only when using them, I can get about 2 days out of a charge on the Razr Maxx. I typically charge every night, though.

JerryA, thanks. I let go of being technologically savvy when I started college in 2003. I'm waaay behind. I don't even know the difference between rooted/unrooted.
