Finished my Above-Bed Bike Rack Project

My cargo issue is solved!! This thing was so easy to do- it should have been my first mod to the truck. I used all Yakima rack parts, 8 Simpson Strong Ties and existing holes in the bed to fabricate two crossbars that sit about 2 inches above the bed rails.

My media card reader is at work, so I'll post pictures in the morning, but I'm so proud of myself!!



I took pictures along the way, so If there's enough interest I'll write up a project. Even if there's no interest, I might just write one up so that I can get that nifty wrench next to my name
