Fixing lumbar support?

Anyone ever fix a broken drivers seat on a Gen 2 ST? It appears to be a manual(cable?) controlled unit. I had it fixed once under warranty and then it broke again after warranty ran out but it was a nice little feature that I can live without but would enjoy having it if it's semi-easy to fix? Any info appreciated.
