Flex fuel?

Hi, I have only had my ST for a week now (2003) and I am still trying to find out what it has or doesn't have.

Wich brings me to this question, how can I tell if my ST is a flex fuel version.

I think all of the 03-05 could run on e85, but don't take that as a for sure..

yes you can tell. look on the back of the gas door, thats where most cars tell you what kind of fuel you can put in them, but i believe 04 was the first year the the trac was flex fuel capable, so yours isint the flex fuel version. someone correct me if im wrong. you get between 10 and 14 mpg will flex fuel anyway so even if yours was capable, i wouldnt recommend using it.

8 digit on the vin number on the truck....



If it is an E it is NOT Flex...



if IT is an K it is.

oh, thought it was 04, oh well mine says it on the fuel door, but that could be aftermarket so todds vin number thing is the most definitive answer

No 02's could run it I know that for sure

Though I'd prefer a "K" in my vin (running with an 02).



I'm glad for the lack though--the single E85 station in my area has 1970's esque lines at the pumps. People are dumb.

My '03, built in September of '02 is NOT Flex fuel...
