flowmaster 40 or 44?

I know a lot of members use the 40, but I never hear anybody use the 44. Does anybody know the difference besides the 44 being black in color? Found that I have the start of a hole in my muffler and it is time to upgrade.

I have Duel Super 44's on my F150 and I love them. They are the meanest growl you can get from a Muffler.
