the bed extender fitsin the bed of your truck it just clips onto a bolt on either side and just sitsin the bed when not in use and rolls out onto the tailgate when needed extending the bed by two feet
The 2001-2005 style bed extender will fit the 2007 but NOT with the factory tonneau cover. I kept the bed entender from my 2001 when I traded it on a 2007 . The stainless bed extender are a better design and higher quality. Though the 2007 does have a tricker locking devise! My 2007 also has a factory bed extender so I am also selling my stainless one. $100.00 Lancaster PA I rather not ship !
