I have posted on this subject before, but I have an update. I recently put a body lift on my ST. Turns out that the AC hose was too short. (the one running from the canister to the AC compressor on the engine) I finally took it to an radiator/ AC guy today and he stated that the AC hose that Ford uses is of a unique inside diameter and thus cannot be spliced. He stated that he needs to weld onto the metal sections of the hose in order to extend the length. Final price with recharge was atleast $375. Is this true or is he taking me for a ride here? Thanks for any help guys.

Sounds like a ride to me... The special ID I can see, but they can make a new hose without welding....

Try some where else.....

If they are the only place that does it, then you may be out of luck....

I would bet there is some place you could even ship it to and have it done..

Thanks Todd, yeah I may just look into having a machine shop fab up a new hose for me. I thought it he taking me for a ride as well.
