I am going to replace my front brakes and rotars this weekend on my 2wd 2004 ST. Do I need to buy new front wheel bearings for the new rotars or can the old ones be re used and repacked. Is it difficult to remove the old ones from the old rotars? I checked the projects section, but found info on changings pads not rotars?

thanks

wheel bearings are only $20 a pair(inner/outter)... $40 for both sides... you can reuse the old ones if you do not mess them up getting them out... do a good inspection and repack...

if you have lots of miles on them, i'd probally just change them...

The wheel bearings are only half the problem, it's the bearing race on the inside of the disk hub that needs to be removed and that can be hard to get out without nicking them up and then they are ruined anyway

It's always recommeded that you replace the wheel bearing when replacing the rotors on a 2wd vehicles.

You will also need grease seals and wheel bearing grease.
