I took my TRAC in for some warranty work and they ended up replacing the Front Shocks on my truck because of some swaying...

Now this is my question... I was also getting an Oil Change , Tire Balance and Rotation.. Plus Alignment while it was in...

Because the shocks were change do they not have to do an Alignment anyway and should I have been charged for this?? Not 100% sure.. Just trying to figure out if they should have charged me for the Alignment...

Or did they charge me because I was getting it done anyway?

Thanks

Whit

I had some really bad swaying and ride problems with my shocks and replaced them at 11K miles for the Rancho RSXs...should I take the bill to my dealer and ask for a credit at LEAST equivalent to the cost had I replaced them with OEM shocks since we have a precedent now of bad ST shocks replaced under warranty?

:(

That's a semi-serious question...any semi-serious answers?

My dealer replaced all four shocks of a Mazda B-4000 that I used to have. They warranteed them, even though the truck had 55,000 miles on it (60,000 mile bumper-to-bumper warranty).

I didn't even ask him to replace them-- I just asked him if they were getting worn when I had it in for a front end alignment after I ran into a ditch during an ice storm. When I went to pick it up after the alignment, he told me that my truck seemed to have a bit of a bounce, so he ordered me 4 new shocks. Took in in the next week and they installed them, all under warannty!

(If Mazda made a Sport Trac, I would buy from those guys again! Mazda pickups look better than Rangers and the warranty is MUCH better.)
