This setup is from my 05 Sport Trac. The radio is the six disc changer radio with mp3 and sat capabilities. It includes a P.I.E. FRDN-POD/S iPod adapter which plugs into the auxiliary/satellite connector on the back of the radio. Everything you need is included except iPod itself. I have been using a 3rd generation iPod nano.
All work well, all lights and buttons on the radio work. It plays factory pressed CDs as well as mp3 or regular track CD-Rs. It should fit 01-03 and 04-05 without Pioneer Premium sound, but be sure to check you plug type (see example pic below). It does not support a factory sub.
The iPod adapter works as advertised, I cannot tell the difference between music from it or the radio itself, and it does support playlists, artist, albums etc. You can control the iPod either from the radio or the iPod (you can choose which). I personally find controlling it by the iPod much less cumbersome than controlling it by the radio. I have the user's manual in pdf format.
I mounted the control box for the adapter inside the console (high series), and tapped into the 12V outlet for the power. It all fits neatly out of sight. I keep the iPod in the glove compartment, again out of sight. I can send pictures of the install to the buyer when I remove it to send.
I am currently using the unit until my new nav unit arrives.
I am asking $165 shipped.
