My fuel Guage is varying a lot after it hits half a tank. Once it gets below 1/4 tank it varies even more and stalls from lack of fuel when I stop quickly or turn sharply. What could make this happen? Please help as it is getting to be nusiance! Help!!!

The fuel gauge on most STs is pretty inconsistent. For example, if you're on a downward slope, the needle will drop. If you are going up a hill, the needle will rise. I have actually been on such an decline that my ST shut off and wouldn't turn over from lack of fuel. Once I put it in neutral and guided it to a level road, the needle slowly rose and I was able to drive to the gas station. The gauge varies about 1/4 of a tank on mine depending on the slope, sometimes even more.

mdw4036,,I had a t-bird do that at 1/4 tank on turns. Turned out to be the suction strainer fell off the fuel pump...
