Hey guys, I have a 2002 Sport Trac. It runs great. A problem i've been having lately is if the temperature gets above 70 degrees it won't start. I thought it was the battery so I replaced the battery but it happened again. With a little research i'm thinking it could be the Fuel Pump Relay? What do you think? Has anyone else had any similar problems?

TIA

Ted

I had a fuel pump relay go years ago in my 91 Explorer and then in my 97 Ranger so I always carry a spare :fire:

Good luck with it, Dave :boohoo:

It maybe the fuel pump going bad. Some early tracs pumps had bad check valves. Try turning the key to the run position, without starting. Do this 3 to 4 times. If it starts then. It is the pump not holding line pressure. If you dont hear the pump charging the lines. Either relay , fuse or pump is bad.
