Fuel Pump Replacement Project

I read a members instructions on how to remove the fuel pump replacement only to find

out that a switch had melted to the connector. So the switch was the problem all along.

Where would I locate this switch an connector before I try to replace the fuel pump. Would it be the switch under the dash on the passenger side that cuts off if your an a accident.

FUEL PUMP SHUT-OFF SWITCH (Pages 136-137)

This switch is located in the front passenger?s footwell, by the kick panel access cover.

Glad I was able to help! I hope it's the switch. It's a lot easier (and cheaper!) than the pump!

Yup, Been there Bought a new switch and connector off amazon replaced both. Extend the wires when replacing, Its another crappy ford design.
