Full system cleaner

ok i was just wondering the last couple of oil changes i have been buying the thoses bottle that are full system cleaners and tell you to use every 3,000 miles. They say they help you accelerate and get better gas mileage, so i figured for about 5 bucks every oil change i will try it. Does anybody know if it actually does anything?

I put a bottle of the Royal Purple Total Fuel System Cleaner every time I change the oil which is every 12k. I figure it couldn't hurt, and it is RP.

The only one I use is the Chevron Synthetic with Tecron. I am not sure it does a whole lot. I would not wast my money on the cheapo brands. They are mostly kerosene (STP) or alcohol.

I agree with superhawk..dont waste your money on the cheapos..the chevron is the best..If you run top tier gas, a bottle every fuel filter change (30K miles) is enough...
