Anyword as to whether their will be a FX4 version of the new trac. The latest crops don't do it for me except the Ridgeline. However, the Ridgline just can't cut it off road. I hope the new Trac doesn't follow the same lead.

Ford does marketing surveys like all the automakers and builds vehicles to fit the demands of the consumer. Guess it will all depend on what the surveys tell Ford whether or not they make a FX4 version of the ST.

That being said, I'd like to know what survey told Ford to build the 500, Freestyle, and Freestar? They don't seem to fit the demands of many consumers at all.

It's ahrd to say, the current Explorer doesn't have an FX4, but with the regular Ex getting a redo, Ford may decide to add an FX4 model, which may carry over to the ST as well. No one knows anything for sure about the new ST, other then it's based on the current Explorer, and what it might look like based on concepts.

With the next ST having IRS (supposedly), off road ability might suffer, at least for hardcore stuff. Regularly run trails and gravel roads and such, it'll handle fine.

I thought that the SVT version was all wheel drive. IMO, if the first year doesnt have a FX4. I would be willing to bet the second year offers one. If Ford has monitored this board, they would see the market for it..

Is the SVT performance St just a dream then?? I just paid my 02 off, and I am saving my money for the SVT version. I even bought an extended Ford warranty to cover me until 07.

Please tell me the SVT version will be reality!!

An SVT version is highly likely to come out...maybe not quite like the concept version, but it's all but certian that an SVT version is in the works.

Remember guys, the ST is considered by Ford to be part of it's SUV line. The FX4 package is part of the truck line. That's probably why you haven't seen and probably won't see a FX4 option for Sport Tracs.

Then Ford is going with the IRS for the Trac. I am sure the off road ability is going to be just under that of the Ridgeline.

Stupid idiots!!!!
