FYI re: steering wheel wobble

I recently noticed my steering would wobble after hitting a bump. Took it a shop, they checked all steering parts: no problems found. Just to be thorough, they went back along the drive train. They found that my drive shaft bearing was totally worn out. Getting it replaced Monday.

Just want to put this out there in case anyone else encounters this situation.

I would be really surprised if the carrier bearing caused this... the 2 are so far disconnected.... ALSO if your 2wd its an easy replace. IF 4wd you MUST replace the whole driveshaft...

Thanks Todd. I am going to the shop today. Mine is 4WD but I hope they can just press a new bearing on the old shaft.

You were right Todd. Need a whole drive shaft replacement.
