Any experts?
I have tried to find the installation papers online at the Genie site but to no avail. I have them but wanted to be able to direct the group to maybe determine if I am using too much comon sense or what is happening.
I am going from a chain drive to a Genie belt drive - the instructions get a bit vague near the end and the pictures they use do not show a piece and then it suddenly appears. So where is it supposed to be?
Between the pictures and the fact they produce the instructions in 3 languages all lumped together it is a bit aggravating.
I have it up and running but it is not really doing what it is supposed to be doing. Issues between the bullet and the carriage.
If someone steps up and states the have knowledge I can go into this a little further and maybe scan in the instructions.
I also noticed they (Genie) have a help line, will hit them up tomorrow night. Bastards better not try to talk to me in French or Spanish!
Now the smartest thing I did was to try to install the one on my side of the garage first. I am not currently using it because it is loaded with crap from my move. If I had done the wife's side that would not have been good. Sometimes we just get lucky. Once I get mine running it should be cake to get the other one up. The old, you've done it once now you are an expert.
Thanks for any help.
