Does anyone think by having a not so tight fitting gas cap could affect my gas mpg? Cause my gas cap doesn't fit snug so well and my mpg is awful...

If the gas cap was loose and not tight you would get a CEL for an emissions leak or your gas cap light would be on.......

MPG is affected by a bunch of things, Hows your maintenance, plugs, filters, TIRE pressure since it is cold out the tires deflate a lot....

And did your driving habits change, Warming up the truck longer, more idling, more stop and go ??

I see. As far as maintenance goes I got 80K on it. It has the original plugs and wires, I've change the filters about 30k ago. I'm always checking my tire pressure and that's ok.

Mine has been lousy lately too, but it always is in the winter. To make things worse, it has been a very clod winter(as compared to recent winters) here in the midwest.
